Two-board RFSoC development system: a Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC (XCZU47DR) core board with 8-channel 14-bit RF-ADC/DAC, paired with a KU115 carrier board that adds USB3.0, NVMe, M.2, QSFP/SFP optical and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for full-system RF prototyping.
The IW_RFSOC_KU115 development kit consists of a 47DR RFSoC core board and a carrier board interconnected via high-speed board-to-board connectors, with 8 high-speed GT links (80 Gbps total) between them. The core board is built on AMD's Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC Gen3 XCZU47DR, providing 8 channels of 14-bit RF-ADC (up to 5 GSPS) and 8 channels of 14-bit RF-DAC (up to 9.85 GSPS), 4GB PS DDR4 + 2GB PL DDR4, 1Gbit QSPI Flash and 32GB eMMC. The carrier board adds a pure-logic XCKU115 FPGA for extra backend processing capacity plus a rich peripheral set: 1x SD card, 2x USB 3.0, 1x Gigabit Ethernet, 2x JTAG/UART, 1x SFP (10G), 2x QSFP (40G), 4x NVMe and 2x M.2 (MGB/PCIe) interfaces, additional DDR4 and QSPI Flash, user LEDs, buttons and DIP switches on both sides. The combination is designed as a complete RF-signal-chain development platform for wireless, radar, test & measurement and satellite-communication applications.
