CAN Controller IP Core
EIC Product Code:
A Controller Area Network (CAN) is a serial half duplex and differential two-wired asynchronous communication protocol that allows the microcontrollers and other devices to communicate without a host computer. The CAN core is a bus controller that performs communication according to the CAN 2.0B, and CAN FD specifications according to ISO 11898-1.
Logic Fruit Technologies has designed CAN RTL IP Core, supporting data rate up to 1 Mbps. Controller Area Network (CAN) is a serial half duplex and differential two wired asynchronous communication protocol which allows the micro controllers and other devices to communicate without host computer.
The CAN BUS protocol is known as message based protocol. In this type of protocol nodes on the bus have no identifying information so it is very easy to insert or delete it from network without any updating on software or hardware systems. CAN provides broadcast message transmission so all nodes in the network can see all transmitted messages and it is nodes decision to accept or filter out CAN Protocol has many applications in automobile sector, medical devices and Industrial automation.
